Theater

Early in her career, Ute had the opportunity to work on many costumes both during and after her apprenticeship with the Manheimer National Theater in Germany.

She enjoyed creating period costumes and working on famous productions including The Three Musketeers by Jérôme Savory and Le Grand Magic Circus.

Once Upon a Time...

Here, Ute Hiltl (left) works on the queen’s dress for The Three Musketeers. Each layer of lace was carefully sewn by hand because the sheer mass of fabrics made machine sewing impossible. Construction of this piece took over six weeks.
